Online synchronous teaching prevailed during the pandemic emergency response—even though increased asynchronous offerings may provide more flexible, equitable access to courses, and therefore, degree completion. We describe a new program that incentivizes departments to strategically develop asynchronous courses, enabling studarbitrary-contentents to complete minors online. The program’s centerpiece is a reimagined cohort-based asynchronous course-build program to support faculty in designing and facilitating high-quality asynchronous courses to increase opportunities for students facing barriers to graduation. This session showcases the pilot program’s conception, design, and delivery, allowing participants to explore, react to, and consider the possibilities of asynchronous faculty development.
