Amanda Valdespino, Sr. Instructional Designer, works on faculty development initiatives and programming related at the University of Miami. In her role, Amanda performs duties such as consultations with faculty, facilitating workshops, facilitating faculty reading groups, and other activities. Amanda earned her Bachelor of Art in Communications and Creative Writing from Florida State University (FSU). She is currently pursuing an M.S in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at FSU.
Prior to working at the University of Miami, Amanda worked for the Miami-Dade County Public Library System as a training specialist for the system-wide adult literacy program. Amanda's professional interests include educational development, innovative teaching practices, inclusive teaching practices, and creating collaborative on-campus partnerships. In her free time, you can find her reading novels, traveling, listening to higher education podcasts, and spending time admiring her dog, Edie.
